Simon Borg Writes on MLSSoccer.com that Minnesota Could Be First to Expansion

What a great headline to bring out the haters from Miami and Orlando.  With Vikings stadium talk starting to finalize, we’re seeing more and more mentions of bringing Major League Soccer to the Twin Cities.

“It’s a tremendous opportunity for a multi-purpose stadium to be owned by the public and used by everyone — get NCAA basketball, major league soccer, get a Super Bowl back and get a million people a year coming into this facility,” said the Vikings’ Lester Bagley.

Yessss…..It’s about time! Minnesota needs a true professional soccer team (nothing against the Thunder). We have one of the largest youth tournaments every year plus we have a professional lacrosse team. If we can have one of those, we can support a new pro soccer team.
